Finlay's Treehouse

Welcome to my blog! If you like Sci-Fi, Gaming, cute anime characters, and occasional blurbs from a 20-something year old named Finlay then you've come to the right place. Feel free to follow my exploits and share in the things that I love at any time. I post a lot of Sword Art Online, PMMM, Pokemon, and Shipping (if you don't like those things this probably isn't a blog for you), but you can also expect Star Wars, Nintendo, and Furries to make frequent appearances. I mostly keep the blog clean, but it can get NSFW at times so just be careful ^.^ Thanks for having a look around, I hope you enjoy! End of Line.

starfall14:

Miriel

Pros:

Miriel does have some serious battling potential. She can have easily the highest magic stat out of all characters, making her a serious sweeper, even to enemies with his resistances. And if you make a sage or valkryie, she can do serious damage and restore loads of health. And having as many healers as possible is very useful for any player.

Cons:

While Miriel can be serious magic sweeper, her defenses are crap. Even as you train her up, she can be taken down very easily. It also doesn’t help that I just find her to be really bland with her only standing trait being her knowledge and perfectionist nature. Plus I just find her a bore in the support conversations she’s in. And that’s not just cause she’s a science geek.

Final Verdict: A smarty pants with serious potential…so long as you keep her away from powerhouses.

starfall14:

Donnel

Pros:

They always say to keep an eye on the underdog, for they just might rise above the rest. And that cant be anymore true for Donnel, or I’ll just call him for now Donny. Let me give you some advice for your next play through. If you haven’t given Donny a chance by this point, you are missing out on easily one of the most strongest and useful members of your entire army. Donny growth rate is insane! Coupled with his early abilities that actually increase the chances of a stat boost, this guy will literally be rivaling all your characters by the time he passes level ten. I’m dead serious! One you upgrade him into a different class, you unlock the beast in him. Plus we learn from his support convo’s just how determined he is to grow strong and make his family proud. He is a prime example that no matter what origin you hale from, you have the potential for greatness.

Cons:

The only real negative to Donny is that you have to have a lot of patience the first few levels you train him in. But believe me, it will be worth it in the end.

Final Verdict: A farm boy destined for greatness.

starfall14:

Sumia

Pros:

Sumia is the players first experience with an airborne unit. Her long reach and impressive stats makes her an impressive unit to have on your team. And since she can have a decent magic stat, she is the better choice to have as a falcon flyer or dark Pegasus. Now she can do long distance without having to rely on lances, which are surprisingly scarce.

Cons:

While Sumia is a useful fighter, I don’t really like anything else about her. She’s really bland, her klutziness is obnoxious and gets really repetitive, her lack of supports gives her very little development along with the possibility of not getting her married (which I did on my first playthrough) and her crush on Chrom I just don’t give a crap about even. Even when I wasn’t determined to make Chrom mines, I wasn’t interested in seeing this relationship get serious.

Final Verdict: A useful unit who really needs to get her head out of the clouds.
